Most mobile phones, tablets, MP3 players, and computers can access its wonderful sound through the line-in connection.I'm not sure if this is meant to be some sort of battery saving feature or something but it makes the speakers unusable for anything other than music and I'm a massive podcast fan so unless I have a defective unit I will be asking for a refund. Aptly named, the Kitsound Hive features a unique honeycomb style design which not only looks smart but add's durability to its sturdy design, allowing the Hive will withstand the occasional knock much better than other speakers and, like all KitSound products, it's been built to last. KitSound is one such outfit, and the Pocket Hive is the most portable speaker in the British firm’s range.
My brother also has an original Hive and when I let him hear the Hive2 his opinion was that the new version actually sounded better, not worse! the fact that the only negative you give is towards the visual aesthetic (i personally really like the design, is really eye catching and unique on my black unit) speaks volumes about it. After having used this device now for several months I would just like to say how very pleased I am. Charging takes about three hours, and a full tank will power the KitSound through ten hours of playback.The other difference with this one is that, while it comes with a micro USB charger like the first Hive, this one won't charge from my USB wall plug (which charges every other device I've ever tried it with just fine) and will only charge from a laptop. You are supplied with a aux to aux cable for a direct connection to the phone that will play your audio without many problems. The instructions on how to connect via Bluetooth were easy to follow but it was not a fast process with our computer and we had to wait a few minutes for the process to complete.
