About this deal

It would be nice to be able to afford Gucci touring and camping gear, I'm not a wealthy person and try to budget my gear accordingly. The 900gsm / 600 fill power duck down insulation has a hydrophobic coating that makes it very practical for winter camping - it retains its loft if it gets damp, so it still keeps you warm in cold and clammy conditions. When used on the move, it packs downs well ( to roughly the same size as a standard football) and lofts back up in no time at all (especially if you fluff it up as you toss it into your tent). the Leviathan EV 900 is also reasonably lightweight considering the temperatures this thing is built for.

I've watched reviews done Simon Bloke in the Woods and WIldbeare but any other links would be useful! We’d bet that you’d see the Leviathan’s unmistakable off-yellow hue emanating from at least a quarter of them.FP ranges from 500-1000 and is a measure of the fineness of the down which as the number increases provides more loft and insulation using less down. One thing we have gotten used to after a night in the Leviathan is the inevitable plucking of feathers off our baselayers the morning after.

It has been designed and developed in the UK by camping experts and comes with a host of practical features that make it a superb choice for regular campers. Though overkill, you can also use it as a blanket in the summer if you poke a leg out of the side, and the durable outer material is protective and comfortable to sleep in. However I can't find much online about it, has anyone got or owned one before and can give their thoughts on it? I used this recently on a sub zero trip to Dartmoor and found it extremely warm and not too claustophobic as same bags can be when cinched up. Overall this is a decent bag for the money and if you remember that it is a budget bag you will be okay.Growing up just south of the glorious Brecon Beacons National Park, Craig spent his childhood walking uphill.

Leading the race at the moment is the RAB ascent 700 XL until I can try the Alpkit bags and the OEX. It also comes with a huge shoulder baffle, a comfortable hood that can be cinched tight around your head, and a handy little pocket on the zipper, suitable for small nick-nacks in the night. Experience the lightweight and insulating benefits of a down sleeping bag with a hydrophobic finish that maintains its performance in damp conditions.the bag won’t weigh you down on your adventures and comes with a compression stuff sack for space-saving on wild camps and multi-day expeditions, as well as a breathable mesh bag which helps the down relax during longer storage periods at home.

We took it on some freezing winter camps in Germany’s Black Forest National Park, we’ve had it out on numerous summits at various times of year throughout the Bannau Brycheiniog and Eryri National Parks.I then spent half the night trying to fix the zip but to no avail so I wouldn't freeze to death in the sub 4 degrees Celsius weather. It lofts well (lay it out, give it a shake and give it time to expand) and it will keep you comfortably warm in minus temperatures. This is obviously not an issue in a dark tent, though I do ask myself why the design team at OEX decided to make this the only option – especially for their flagship down bag. Built for 4+ season camping, the Levithian EV bag will provide ultimate comfort on year-round adventures.
