About this deal

Our first impression of the AW3821DW is that it is very colorful with a nicely saturated image that’s bright and sharp. It also filled the peripheral vision at a 2-3-foot viewing distance with no head turning required. We observed this when reviewing the Acer X38 as well. The 2300R curve and 38-inch size is ideal for an immersive view, no matter the content.

Generally, the sweet spot is the 34- or 35-inch mark as these can have really great, aggressive price points. Once you go up to 38 and above, there is a significant and steep price rise generally. The LG UltraGear 45GR95QE-B is one of the best OLED screens we've tested this year, and it brings an immersive curve and ultrawide brilliance to the table too. Whether you're into a fast paced FPS games or immersive adventures, this screen is going to help your Steam library shine.

It’s a solid improvement in IPS panel technology. I’ve never had an HDR screen so I’ll have to wait and see if I like this. even if it’s only HDR600 witch really seems to be the only real let down of this screen with pretty much every reviewer saying 1000HDR is when it starts to get good it makes me wonder why dell ddt push to make this premium display to have the last thing it needed to be perfect and left it with mediocre HDR . But for all I know 600HDR will blow me away when I first try it Those 49-inchers are colossal though so if you want a bit of desk space then these might be too large. I really value the extra size a 38-inch gives over a 34-inch even though it isn't too much in reality - the ultrawide resolution usually does the business and the talking in either, or any, size. on Dell internal analysis using publicly available specs in August 2023 comparing maximum effective capacity for PowerStore 1200 and FlashArray //X20. Assumes average 4:1 data reduction for PowerStore, 5:1 for Pure Storage. Actual results vary. It has good peak brightness and good reflection handling, and it's good to use in rooms with a few lights around, but glare from strong light sources is distracting. Like the Dell, its 34-inch screen has a 3440x1440 resolution with good text clarity, but its narrow viewing angles limit its office performance because the image washes out from the sides, which isn't ideal for sharing your screen with others. On the plus side, it has excellent image accuracy, so images are life-like without any sort of calibration. this has much faster nano IPS,144 refresh rate , slightly bigger at 38” but with the same pixel density being 3840x1600 21.45% more pixels the GPU needs to run but still keeping a 21:9 aspect ratio unlike the 49” Samsung G9 that’s it’s own uniqe aspect ratio that I doubt has much if any game support you

Bendable monitors have arrived in the PC gaming world, and the Corsair Xeneon Flex 45WQHD240 OLED is one of the pioneers. As with any new tech, it's an expensive piece of kit, but it gives you a whole new experience you won't get from all other ultrawide gaming display - and gaming monitors in general, for that matter. Color looked fantastic in this game. Even though the monitor’s color gamut is oversaturated for SDR content, accuracy kept Tomb Raider from looking overblown. Earth tones had a nice warmth, while metal retained just the right coldness. The greens of the jungle looked vibrant and natural. For better image quality, you can adjust settings on your own as there are many various modes, a uniformity correction included. All in all, this 38" monitor has been designed for professional use. Generally, ultrawide business displays have an abundance of ports: at least one HDMI and one DisplayPort input, both upstream and downstream USB ports, and USB Type-C ports are typical. With many newer ultrawide business monitors, the USB-C port can transfer data as well as the video signal (the latter using the DisplayPort over USB protocol), while simultaneously powering or charging the laptop from which it's displaying the image (if applicable). (Credit: Zlata Ivleva)Hard drive retention: Hard drive retention is not available on models with a soldered hard drive, including XPS 9315 2in1, Chromebooks or Venue tablets, except the Venue 11 Pro.

It's large and in charge, and at 49-inches, the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 is our favorite curved ultrawide monitor at the moment. It has plenty of other great specs in its arsenal too, but it provides an immersive experience that trumps both its curvy rivals and flat alternatives on the market. Most ultrawide displays have a 34-inch screen size, but there are larger ones up to 49 inches, which are known as super ultrawide monitors. On top of that, these displaystend to have curved screens to bring the edges closer toyou. When looking for an ultrawide monitor, it's important to consider what you need it for and your budget, as there are options available at different price points. Overall, it looks similar to other monitors based on what is almost certainly a 38-inch curved panel from LG. On the upside, that means it looks natural and accurate. The downside involves the modest pixel pitch. 3,840 by 1,600 pixels is pretty generous from a pure desktop real-estate perspective. Given the modest 300 nit panel brightness rating, the Eizo FlexScan EV3895 is punchier and more vibrant than you might expect. While it’s a resolutely SDR rather than HDR monitor, colors have plenty of pop and the IPS panel’s inherent contrast is decent, albeit not as good as the best VA monitors in that regard. The BenQ EW3880R is just as great for work as it is for media consumption. It boasts a subtle curvature that increases immersion, that ultra HD resolution in 21:9, and eye-comfort features that boosts productivity. To do so, we use it as our main monitor for at least a week, utilizing it for our day-to-day workloads, watching movies and shows with it, and playing our favorite AAA games on it if it's a gaming monitor. This way, we can gauge its real-world performance. Even if you have a 2K monitor with a 24-inch display, it will have a pixel density of about 91 PPI. It is enough for high image quality as you will be able to see all the details clearly. The 16:9 ratio remains the most popular today. Familiar resolutions such as 720p (1,280 by 720 pixels), 1080p (1,920 by 1,080), 1440p/QHD (2,560 by 1,440), and 4K or UHD (3,840 by 2,160) all have a 16:9 aspect ratio. The first 21:9 monitors appeared in 2012, and 32:9 displays in 2017. So is bigger always better? Not really. For starters, you'll need plenty of desk space to accommodate an ultrawide monitor.
