About this deal

Belong to yourself. You’re not the thoughts. You’re not the emotions. You are much, much more. Explore. Between our inner critic and external messages about what a “good” body looks, feels, and acts like, we can be so hard on ourselves. But our bod- ies do so much for us. With this practice, we take a moment to offer gratitude for the body that will accompany us through life. Elaine Smookler guides a lighthearted and compassionate body scan to bring a spirit of curiosity and appreciation to what’s happening in our body right now. 2. Guided Meditation: Notice How Sadness, Loneliness, and Anger Show Up in Your Body from Sharon Salzberg This is so important because we can live our whole lives estranged from this home within ourselves.

It may also be hard to come home if we sense that unresolved pain has accumulated and we don’t want to face it. We may get into the habit of avoiding our home completely. We don’t want to be with those raw, unprocessed parts of our experience that are painful and may be quite scary. When we try to ignore or push away strong emotions, they have a tendency to hang around uninvited in our tense shoulders, shallow breathing, and tight jaws. With this practice from Sharon Salzberg, we gently turn toward uncomfortable sensations and feelings. This may seem counterintuitive at first, but when we bring nonjudgmental awareness to difficult emo- tions, we can see how they arise, change, and go. 3. A Meditation to Remind Yourself That You Are Enough from Jenée Johnson We can spend lots of our time and energy trying to predict or control what the future will bring. This doesn’t usually serve us. In truth, we don’t need to know what the future will bring. We just need to be right in this moment, and if we touch it deeply, mind and body united, we will find we have all that we need to meet the present. We can’t find what we need to meet tomorrow or a month from now because we can’t control or exactly know the future, but we will find what we need for right now. Meditation: I Am Home We have traveled so far away from ourselves that the journey home can seem difficult, even impossible. We are too far from home that we have forgotten who we are. And we have been away, listening to the advice of other people, striving to embrace the kind of life they told us is ours. Yes, as my friend Thilo Konzok says, there is a lot of advice online, and everyone seems to have the secret ingredient to happiness, everyone seems to have the secret to success and wealth. The thing is that the secret might work for them, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that it will work for you too. So, what do you really need to succeed? To begin, create an altar area or a small safe place in your home that seems inviting—if you have an altar already that would work. Now, no fish needs to be taught swimming. The fish is born there, swimming is like breathing. Who has taught you breathing?

In 1981, the Rajneesh movement's efforts refocused on activities in the United States and Rajneesh relocated to a facility known as Rajneeshpuram in Wasco County, Oregon. Almost immediately the movement ran into conflict with county residents and the state government, and a succession of legal battles concerning the ashram's construction and continued development curtailed its success. In the chaos of life, taking a moment to breathe and regulate our emotions is paramount. Deep breathing exercises, mindfulness, and self-reflection techniques enable us to find inner calmness and resilience. By practicing emotional self-regulation, we can respond to challenging situations with clarity and grace, rather than react impulsively. This empowers us to navigate life's ups and downs with greater ease. Pause and Find Calmness:

The book offers practical strategies and insights to foster meaningful relationships, establish healthy boundaries, and cultivate deep connections rooted in empathy, compassion, and understanding. By nourishing these connections, you will create a harmonious tapestry of support and love, enriching your journey toward inner peace. Finally, after an episode of her screaming, purple with rage in response to the way I had handled a project, I realized it was time to take a deeper look at myself. So, come home, for it’s where the journey starts. Stop thinking that your happiness will depend on anyone. Stop thinking that the world will come around and make everyone of your wish come true. No, come home! The moment you feel at home with yourself, you can start the journey towards growth and personal transformation. Creating space for stillness and silence allows us to pause and find calmness within. Whether it's through daily moments of solitude, meditation practices, or immersing ourselves in activities that bring peace, we cultivate a sense of serenity that becomes a sanctuary amidst the busyness of life. In this state of calmness, we can rejuvenate our minds, replenish our spirits, and gain insights that lead to personal growth. Hear Yourself and Meet Your Needs:

The practice of „making a nest“ was shared with me recently to welcome in a new soul as I was having trouble conceiving, but what I soon realized was that this was a practice calling in the parts of myself that had been discarded and letting them know it was safe to return.

It was when I stopped searching for home within others / and lifted the foundations of home within myself / I found there were no roots more intimate / than those between a mind and body / that have decided to be whole.” — Rupi Kaur There are many great spiritual practices and tools for uncovering the parts of us we have pushed aside, and there are many Shamanic rituals for soul retrievals, but here is one of my personal favorites. Making a NestA beautifully illustrated collection of mindfulness exercises for grounding, relaxation, and finding inner peace, from contemporary mystic Osho Some people become addicted to becoming spiritual athletes, believing that if they meditate for longer and longer periods each day, endure fasts, and chant non-stop, they will attain enlightenment. While these practices are a beneficial and beautiful support for stilling the mind, entering presence, and becoming aware of resistances, they are not “it.” Rajneesh emphasized the importance of meditation, mindfulness, love, celebration, courage, creativity and humor—qualities that he viewed as being suppressed by adherence to static belief systems, religious tradition and socialization. Those plans, worries, and anxieties will surely arise in our mind, but we can learn to notice them and take good care of them rather than feed them and get pulled away by them. Bringing our attention to our breath or to the sensations in our body helps us to stay on the platform of the now. The past and future are not the place where we can come home to ourselves and resource ourselves with the elements we need to move through our difficulties. We can only come home to ourselves in the present moment, in the here and now.
