About this deal

This book won the Sendak fellow - an award named after the author of ‘Where the wild things are’. The book is has a clear and powerful message of conservation – the pictures in the book aren’t very colour, but they portray the bleak future of a world which fails to converse its environment. The book shows the grey images of polluted cities, and the clear cutting of rainforest. Since asylum can be a confusing issue for children (and even adults), here are some books that explore what it really means to flee your home and have to start your life over. Similarly, the soul is part and parcel of the Lord, simultaneously one with God and different from God. Qualitatively we are one with God, being eternal, full of knowledge, and full of bliss. But quantitatively, we are always but a part, just as the sunray is but a tiny part of the sun and yet has the same qualities as the sun. We are both one with God and different from God. God is the independent controller, but when the soul misuses his God-given independence, he forgets his relation to the Lord and falls into illusion and subsequent suffering.” How is the desire to see one’s parents’ home connected to a sense of roots? After all, decades had passed. Did these second-generation members not have roots of their own by now, deeply fixed in their own country of birth? Some obviously did, but others still felt themselves in need of a geographical anchor, hoping to close a circle by being able to stand on the same soil where their parents had been born, studied, prayed or played, creating a personal paraphrase of Genesis 3:19, “For you are dust and to dust you shall return”.

The Journey Home: Autobiography of an American Swami

The Journey Home: Autobiography of an American Swami is a 2008 auto-biographical account [1] of a young nineteen-year-old boy, Richard Slavin's journey from the suburbs of Chicago to the caves of the Himalayas and through this, his transformation [2] to being Radhanath Swami, one of India's most respected spiritual leaders and an ISKCON figure. [3] Mystic yogi's, gurus and an epic quest through spiritual India, is a concise description of this memoir. Within his autobiography, Radhanth Swami is seeming to weave a colorful tapestry of adventure, mysticism and love. [4] Overview [ edit ] Author Radhanath Swami in Mumbai, 2006 Kevin also presents Healing with Conscious Communication and The Enneagram Masterclass and co-presents with Brandon The Journey’s most powerful course, Freedom from the Ego retreat. Una storia dura, sofferta, violenta, con una scrittura che sa combinare brutale realismo e momenti poetici, onirici , allucinati. Figure 5.1.Teresa’s father, Lorenz von Sommaruga, as a 15-year-old before leaving Berlin in 1936 (From family collection). What is the goal I should aspire to? I wondered. Should I strive to transcend dualities to become one with an impersonal, formless God? Or should I strive to purify my heart to serve a personal Lord with unconditional love in His eternal abode? Imagine that you could draw a magic door from your classroom / bedroom wall into another world. Draw the view to the other side. Act out the story and as each animal joins maybe they could tell a bit more of their story about what happened to them Draw the next scene of the story This powerful tool will highlight where in your life you still have unrealised potential. Seeing the results will give your clarity and focus. A young family’s safe world is turned upside down when war arrives, causing turmoil in their lives and forcing them to flee in search of safety. Told through the eyes of one of the children, the story follow their journey across hills and through forests, over enormous walls and stormy seas, encountering things both wondrous and scary in their search for a new home. On the other hand, I had heard other yogis and philosophers profess that God is the Supreme Person, that His spiritual form is eternal, full of knowledge and bliss. At the time of liberation, the soul enters into the kingdom of God where it eternally serves the all-beautiful Personality of God in pure love.
